Q. Are you a Christian church?A. Yes. We are. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that he was sent to earth, was crucified and rose again. He alone is the source for the forgiveness of our sins.
Q. What denomination is REVOLUTION?
A. We are the "Jesus Christ" denomination. Seriously. We are not affiliated with any one denomination (such as Lutheran, Catholic, Protestant, etc.), but we welcome and include people from ALL backgrounds and denominations. Our only requirement is that you believe in Jesus and seek to follow his teachings OR that you are interested in learning more about him.
Q. Aren't there enough churches in the Ohio Valley? Why start a new one?
A. Many of our local churches are traditional. Although we see nothing wrong with traditional churches, we recognize that there are many people who are not being reached with the traditional church model or who may not feel comfortable in a traditional church setting. The Ohio Valley needs a different kind of church!
Q. How will REVOLUTION church be different?
A. REVOLUTION will be a church that is modern in style, accepting and encouraging, and involved in the community. Our teachings are easy-to-understand, but challenging, and are applicable to your every day life. In our Sunday experiences, we will offer music that is like what you hear on the radio (both Christian & non-Christian stations) in a exciting, concert-like atmosphere and there will be plenty of opportunities to get acquainted, get connected, get excited, and get involved!
Another important distinction of REVOLUTION Church is Team Leadership. We want to avoid a church built around one dominant person's temperament. Instead, we cultivate an amazing team of leaders to serve the church through a collaboration of diverse gifts and personalities.
Q. Many churches are struggling to keep their doors open. Shouldn't we focus on helping those churches?
A. In older congregations, leaders emphasize tradition, tenure, and routine. Newer churches are one of the best ways to surface creative, strong leaders with fresh ideas and initiatives. New churches challenge other churches to examine their beliefs and practices. Sometimes it is only in contrast to a new church that old churches can finally define their own vision, specialties, and identity.
Additionally, new churches are very effective at reaching unchurched people and often produce Christians who can end up at older churches for a variety of reasons.
Q. Who is leading REVOLUTION?
A. REVOLUTION is led by a dynamic team of experienced church starters and leaders, who are passionate about creating a radically different kind of church!
Cumulatively, our team has more than 20 years of church leadership experience. The leaders enjoy professional mentoring relationships, as well as personal friendships, with the staff of many rapidly-growing churches.

A. Since we are in the early stages of developing REVOLUTION, we do not yet have weekly worship experiences. However, we often travel as a group to an existing church for Sunday mornings, so we can worship together. Our main focus is Launch-Team Meetings and Bible-studies, which are easy-to-understand, but very enlightening. We promise you will have a great time...especially if you're funny! Q. When will REVOLUTION begin holding weekly services/experiences?
A. We are on schedule to begin holding public weekly worship experiences in the Fall/Winter of 2010. Prior to that, we will begin our monthly preview/practice services, in preparation for launch.
Q. Where will REVOLUTION meet?
A. The Leaders of REVOLUTION are currently scouting out the perfect location for REVOLUTION's worship experiences! We'll keep you posted as things develop!
Q. Isn't it hard to start a church?
A. Well, it certainly isn't easy, BUT we know that when we faithfully give our heart and soul to the mission the God has laid before us, He will provide the people and the resources that it will take to make REVOLUTION into the craziest, coolest, most loving and audacious church that the Ohio Valley has ever experienced! We're doing something so big and so crazy that it will ABSOLUTELY take God to make it happen! Now THAT'S exciting! And, yes, it's crazy! But we wouldn't have it any other way.
